Who runs upswap.io?
Arnold Burn publishes independent cross-chain bridge quote measurements on upswap.io. The site does not provide a swap button and does not execute transactions.
Past swap service (required disclosure)
Before the switch to this site (the switch date will be announced on this page), the operator of upswap.io ran a swap service on this domain that executed orders through NEAR Intents (1Click). That service stops at the switch. From then on, upswap.io publishes independent bridge measurements only. Questions about a past order: see the contact page.
Between 29 September and 1 October 2026, NEAR Intents was exploited for about $3.8 million. NEAR Intents paused on 1 October; the exploiter returned all funds about a day after the pause, and users were made whole (see the incident page). Audits reduce risk but cannot eliminate it. Our old homepage FAQ said there was “no record of fund loss to date”. That statement stopped being accurate after this incident, and we have withdrawn it.
Funding and fees
Across API calls use integrator ID 0x03db with a 0 app fee. We do not earn referral fees from quotes. Real-money tests: none yet — planned after the public site launches. We never present example wallets or example transactions as if they were real.
Open data
Quote snapshots are released under CC BY 4.0. The first Zenodo DOI deposit is planned for early November 2026; until then, pages show “EXAMPLE / pending” where the DOI will go. We publish a DOI only after Zenodo has issued it.
