deBridge review
Intent bridge — takers fill orders, escrow is released by deBridge validator signatures (8 of 12 on Ethereum)
Key findings
deBridge DLN is an intent bridge: your funds are locked in DlnSource, a taker pays you on the destination chain, and the escrow is released to the taker once deBridge's validators (8 of 12 on Ethereum) attest the unlock message. The DLN contracts can be upgraded by a 5/8 multisig with no timelock. The protocol fee is 0.001 ETH flat plus 4 bps on Ethereum.
As of 3 Nov 2026, 11:35 UTC (run #540), deBridge DLN returned quotes on 37 sampled routes (111 quote rows in this packet). At $200 it was the cheapest ranked quote on 0 routes. Median cost among its non-negative $200 quotes: 136.04 bps (cheapest observed 24.06 bps). Sources reporting it: deBridge (DLN). Real-money tests: none yet — planned after launch.
- 7-day coverage: rankable quotes on 37 routes in 336 of 336 runs (35,952 rows).
- Gas policy: Gas is shown per quote when the API returns it; ranking uses net received excl. gas.
- Real-money tests: none yet after launch

How does deBridge work?
As a maker, you lock your "give" amount in the DlnSource contract. A taker fills the order on the destination chain through DlnDestination, which forwards the "take" amount to you in the same transaction. The taker then triggers an unlock message back to the source chain through the deBridge gate; once the deBridge validators attest it, the escrow goes to the taker (L2Beat).
Unfilled orders can be cancelled from the destination chain for a full refund on the source chain. Orders can carry calldata executed after fulfilment via an external-call adapter (L2Beat).

What are the risks of using deBridge?
Each item links to its source (L2Beat, DefiLlama or official docs). Items we could not verify are marked 待核实. No overall score.
Settlement & disputes
Escrow release depends entirely on the deBridge validator set (currently 8 of 12 signatures on Ethereum). A compromised quorum, or an admin change of the per-chain routing addresses, could drain escrowed order funds.
L2BeatUpgrade authority
DlnSource, DlnDestination and the external-call adapter are upgradeable by a 5/8 deBridge multisig with no timelock or exit window. The newer intent-manager stack on Ethereum is controlled by a single EOA.
L2BeatApproval risk
Intent-mode approvals go to DeBridgeAllowanceHolder, whose spender role can move any approved token from any approver; the intent signature covers only an opaque hash, so wallets cannot show what you agree to. Use exact-amount approvals.
L2BeatRecent changes
L2Beat notes several satellite contracts with unverified source code; check its update log before large transfers.

What fees does deBridge charge?
- Protocol fee
- 0.001 ETH flat plus 4 bps on Ethereum, deducted at order creation and refunded on cancellation. The flat fee differs by source chain (for example 0.015 SOL on Solana, 0.005 BNB on BNB Chain). deBridgedeBridgeL2Beat
- Taker spread
- The rest of the cost is the difference between what you give and what the taker delivers; deBridge's API builds in a taker margin of about 4 bps plus the solver's gas. deBridgeL2Beat
Our deBridge quotes come from the public DLN API; the flat fee weighs heavily on small amounts, which shows in the $20 tier.
How did its quotes perform in our data?
Quotes for deBridge DLN in run #540, by the API that reported them.
| Source | Type | Routes | Quote rows | $200 cheapest | Median $200 bps | Negative-cost rows |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| deBridge (DLN) | direct | 37 | 111 | 0 | 136.04 | 0 |
Negative-cost quotes (receiving more than you send) are listed, never ranked. Cost excludes source-chain gas.
Has upswap tested it with real money?
Not yet. Real-money tests are planned after launch; no test wallets or transactions are published yet.
What are the pros and cons?
Pros
- Takers pay you directly in the fill transaction.
- Unfilled orders can be cancelled for a full refund.
- Validator quorum spread across 12 signers.
Cons
- 5/8 multisig can upgrade escrow contracts with no timelock.
- Intent-manager stack controlled by a single EOA; opaque intent signatures.
- Flat fee makes small transfers relatively expensive.
Who is deBridge for?
Suited to medium and large transfers where the flat fee is small relative to the amount; prefer standard DLN orders over intent mode until the intent stack's controls improve.
Has it been hacked?
No incident linked in our incident library.
