Intent bridge and swap router — three methods: Swift (driver-filled intents), MCTP / Fast MCTP (Circle CCTP), and Wormhole Swap
Key findings
Mayan Finance is a cross-chain swap protocol with three transfer methods: Swift fills orders from drivers' destination-chain capital (no protocol fee, best up to about $1M); MCTP and Fast MCTP move USDC over Circle CCTP and let drivers swap it on arrival (0–3 bps, up to about $10M); Wormhole Swap uses the Wormhole Token Bridge. Messages are verified by Wormhole's 13-of-19 guardians, who can also upgrade Wormhole's core contracts.
As of 3 Nov 2026, 11:35 UTC (run #540), Mayan FAST_MCTP returned quotes on 38 sampled routes (318 quote rows in this packet). At $200 it was the cheapest ranked quote on 0 routes. Median cost among its non-negative $200 quotes: 30.06 bps (cheapest observed 0.11 bps). Sources reporting it: LI.FI, Mayan. Real-money tests: none yet — planned after launch.
- 7-day coverage: rankable quotes on 38 routes in 336 of 336 runs (105,195 rows).
- Gas policy: Gas is shown per quote when the API returns it; ranking uses net received excl. gas.
- Real-money tests: none yet after launch

How does Mayan work?
Swift: you lock the source asset; drivers (Mayan's name for solvers) compete in an auction and pay you on the destination chain from capital they already hold there, then are settled through Wormhole messages (Mayan docs).
MCTP / Fast MCTP: your input is swapped to USDC on the source chain and moved with Circle CCTP (Fast MCTP uses CCTP v2's faster attestation). Drivers bid on Solana for the right to swap the arriving USDC into your requested token (Mayan docs).
All three methods rely on Wormhole messaging; L2Beat describes Mayan as an "intent framework using the Wormhole message bridge" (L2Beat).

What are the risks of using Mayan?
Each item links to its source (L2Beat, DefiLlama or official docs). Items we could not verify are marked 待核实. No overall score.
Settlement & verification
Settlement messages are validated by Wormhole's guardians at a 13/19 threshold. MCTP routes additionally depend on Circle's CCTP attesters.
L2BeatMayanUpgrade authority
Wormhole's core and token-bridge contracts are upgradeable by the same guardians that validate messages; Mayan's application contracts have their own upgradeability, which L2Beat does not yet detail.
L2BeatApproval risk
On EVM chains you approve the Mayan Forwarder (0x3376…C3E2, same address on every supported chain). It is not upgradeable and pulls only the amount of the transaction you send, but which swap and bridge contracts it may call is a whitelist set by a single guardian key (an externally owned account on Ethereum) with no delay. Approve exact amounts.
MayanMayanBlockscoutSecurity incidents
No Mayan incident in DefiLlama Hacks as of 2026-10-24. Its messaging layer, Wormhole, lost 120,000 wETH (≈ $326M) in February 2022 through a signature-verification bug; Jump Crypto replaced the funds.

What fees does Mayan charge?
- Swift
- No protocol fee. Integrator (referrer) fees up to 200 bps can be added on top. Mayan
- MCTP
- 0 bps if the output is USDC, 3 bps otherwise; relayer fees in USDC are returned per quote. MayanMayan
- Fast MCTP
- 3 bps protocol fee, plus CCTP v2 Fast Transfer fee. Mayan
Mayan's docs say protocol fees can change and are returned live as protocolBps in each quote; our tables use the live quote, not the figures above.
How did its quotes perform in our data?
Quotes for Mayan FAST_MCTP in run #540, by the API that reported them.
| Source | Type | Routes | Quote rows | $200 cheapest | Median $200 bps | Negative-cost rows |

| LI.FI | via aggregator | 34 | 102 | 0 | 33.94 | 0 |
Negative-cost quotes (receiving more than you send) are listed, never ranked. Cost excludes source-chain gas.
Has upswap tested it with real money?
Not yet. Real-money tests are planned after launch; no test wallets or transactions are published yet.
What are the pros and cons?
Pros
- Strong Solana ↔ EVM coverage.
- Swift has no protocol fee.
- MCTP can carry large USDC transfers over Circle's native burn-and-mint.
Cons
- Security inherits Wormhole's guardian set (13/19), which can also upgrade core contracts.
- Three methods with different fees and trust paths; the route you get depends on the quote.
Who is Mayan for?
A strong option for Solana ↔ EVM moves and stablecoin transfers; check which method (Swift, MCTP, Wormhole) your quote uses.
Has it been hacked?
- — Wormhole · $326M · Verification flaw
The Wormhole incident affected Mayan's messaging layer before Mayan's current products; Mayan itself was not the target.
Which official links are verified?
What is still unverified?
- 待核实 Upgrade authority of Mayan's Swift and MCTP contracts (the Forwarder itself is not upgradeable).
